Our Values

Potters Independent Living Ltd is a private limited company based in Aberdeenshire. We provide care at home and support to residents in Aberdeenshire.The commissioning and delivery of our services is monitored and regulated by the local authority.Our staff are registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of employment commencing and adhere to their Codes of Practice.We are inspected annually by the Care Inspectorate.Our staff are members of the Disclosure Scotland Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme.Our staff complete a comprehensive induction upon recruitment and complete a series of entry level training courses, as well as understanding the company policies and procedures applicable to their role.New members of staff are allocated shadow shifts with experienced staff prior to lone working.Staff have access to a team leader or senior member of staff throughout their shift.
Our staff develop and refresh their professional skills annually using our online training courses. These courses have been designed and developed externally and are recognised by The Association of Healthcare Trainers.The SSSC also requires members to become vocationally trained and qualified, and many of our staff either have this qualification or are working towards it.We comply with GDPR regulations and strive to protect service user information at all times. A copy of our GDPR policy is available upon request. Our extensive company policies and procedures ensure that service users are treated with respect, honesty and dignity. Our regulatory bodies audit and inspect all aspects of our work.We welcome comments and suggestions at any time and have a complaints policy, should this be required.
